Video Player Ad Interface Definition(VPAID)

VPAID (Video Player Ad-Serving Interface Definition) is a video ad format or a video ad specification that is used to interact, execute, and measure the video ads in a video player, within a linear or a non-linear ad format. VPAID is a proprietary and open format that was developed and standardized by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), and that is supported by most video players, video platforms, and video publishers. VPAID is a client-side and server-side format that allows the video content owner, the video ad network, or the video ad server, to define, customize, and control the video ads that are played in the video player, based on the user interaction, the ad format, or the ad environment, and the user experience, the content quality, or the ad revenue of the video content. VPAID is an alternative and complementary format to VAST (Video Ad Serving Template), and it is used to enhance the interactivity, the personalization, or the measurement of the video ads, and to optimize the yield, the performance, or the compliance of the video content.
